365 days

When I asked you (awkwardly) what you love about me, you said “everything” with a sheepish grin. You are always the quiet, calm one between the two of us. When I asked you that question, I was half expecting you to just smile. I was also expecting you to ask me the same question. But you didnt. You never did.

Out of 365 days – you probably had brought me 139 coffee, we watched 70 movies, travelled about 25 cities/towns together, visited 192 websites, laughed at 73 random strangers, kissed twice under the sunset, took 130 photos together (half of which I forced you to), 4 times we got drenched under the rain, 27 random gifts and love letters and 257 bus rides while we hold hands.

Thank you, for always looking after me while I totally YOLO-ed. Thank you for steadying my wings, and for extending your hands whenever I fly too far.

I dont know what lies ahead or what will become of us after 2, 6, 10 years. Will we get married or be strangers again by then? I dont know. We dont know. The universe can only guess. But I love you NOW. And now, is all that matters.

Looking back, if you had asked me the same question. I’d probably just smile.
Then say “your teeth.”
